NAMI Skagit's mission:
To provide
support, education and advocacy for persons with mental illness,
consumers, and their families within Skagit County.
To
promote better quality of care, recovery, rights and interests of
people with mental illness, particularly of those who cannot speak for
themselves, and to advocate for policies and practices at the local,
state and national levels to accomplish these objectives.
To
provide emotional support, education and information to consumers and
their families and friends.
To
provide information and education to the general community in order to
reduce stigma and support the successful reintegration of recovering
consumers into the community.
