Family-to-Family: A
proven series of twelve weekly classes taught by a team of trained NAMI
family members to help family members support individuals with serious
mental illness while maintaining their own well-being. The
NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program is a FREE 12-week course for
families of individuals with brain disorders. Trained family members
teach the course that focuses on severe brain disorders (schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety/panic disorder,
obsessive-compulsive disorder), discusses the nature and clinical
treatment of these illnesses, and teaches the knowledge and skills
family members need to cope more effectively. For more information or to register, contact Trish Rodriguez at mermama@gmail.com or 360-540-0795 This NAMI Education Program is offered by NAMI Skagit, an affiliate of NAMI Washington, and funded in part by Skagit County Human Services.
